An open recess beneath the upper surface creates visual separation from the enclosed drawer below, allowing the top to appear suspended above the main body. Rounded transitions and softened geometry preserve the sculptural presence of StormCell, while the upper opening introduces a sense of lightness and depth into the overall form.

In Ash, Top Draft takes on the Daylight expression of Cloud9. Pale natural tones and visible grain evoke the clarity of open skies and softly diffused midday light, reducing the perceived weight of the enclosed form. The lighter timber enhances the visual separation beneath the floating top, creating an atmosphere of openness, calm and clarity. The result is a refined bedside piece that feels airy and composed while retaining the distinctive volume of StormCell.

The StormCell Top Draft Ash Pedestal combines an accessible upper recess for books and everyday essentials with an enclosed drawer for discreet bedside storage.
