Dalenor Riempie Pedestal | Open Compartment
The Dalenor Riempie Open Compartment Pedestal combines open bedside storage with a suspended architectural composition. An elevated compartment sits between the upright supports, creating a practical space for books and everyday objects while remaining visually open. Below, a woven riempie platform spans the lower structure, introducing texture and a distinctly South African craft element. The separation between compartment, platform and frame creates a deliberate rhythm of solid form and negative space while maintaining the balanced proportions of Dalenor.
Available in American Walnut or Kiaat, the pedestal brings together the natural depth of solid hardwood and the tactile character of traditional riempie weaving. Walnut creates a darker, more formal expression, while Kiaat introduces richer tonal variation and warmth. Restrained brass detailing highlights selected junctions, adding precision to the composition and reinforcing the relationship between material, structure and connection at the heart of Dalenor.
