HighLine Sigma Side Table
The HighLine Sigma Side Table translates the cantilever principle into a compact form designed specifically for sofas and lounge seating. Its open C shaped structure allows the base to slide beneath the couch, positioning the upper surface comfortably above the seat or armrest while maintaining a minimal footprint. Built around the slender 20 mm steel architecture of HighLine, the offset structure creates a sense of controlled imbalance while remaining practical for everyday use.
The name Sigma, σ, references normal stress in structural mechanics and the internal forces that develop as a cantilever carries load and resists bending. That principle becomes part of the visual language of the table, where support is deliberately displaced and the upper plane appears to extend beyond the structure beneath it.
In Black MelaWood, the primary surface is protected by fitted glass, adding durability while maintaining the controlled black expression of the powder coated steel frame. The Black Ash option replaces this surface with natural timber, introducing visible grain, subtle tonal variation and greater material depth. Custom sizing is available to position the table specifically above a sofa seat or armrest.
